where bond and blog unite
my thoughts on all things Bond
As I have said in my Bond song posts, there's nothing as special, as powerful and as prominent as the Bond Song, and because of this I went to the Royal festival hall on Friday night to enjoy an experience like no other, the Bond songs live!!
The Best of James Bond is a night dedicated to the dramatic music of The bond Franchise, in one of the best places to hear live music, The Royal festival hall. The room, built for its acoustics is perfect for delivering the, rich, velvety and immersive sound associated with Bondian music. Providing the music that night was the stunning, London Concert Orchestra, who were the perfect choice for the evening. They may seem rather small for an orchestra however they provided a big bang when playing the Bond songs and that's what matters.
Apart from the orchestra the singers were amazing. Louise Dearman and performed all the songs between them, challenging task for any vocalist as there's a large range of song styles, all extremely vocally challenging. I was overwhelmed with the quality of the singing it was truly amazing, and honestly the best vocals I've ever heard. To finish his amazing night off I got to meet to two amazing singers as well as some of the orchestra members, the composer and the conductor. It was a great experience as all the members I met were so lovely and friendly.
Thank you to everyone at the Royal festival hall for such a wonderful experience, I will definitely come back to see more!
Sorry for the extreme lack of posts I've been unwell this week and have had tonnes of work, however over the weekend there will be bonus posts and I will be resuming my usual schedule, as well as this photos from The Royal Festival Hall will be going up tomorrow as they wouldn't upload today.
Can't wait to get back to it all!!
