where bond and blog unite
my thoughts on all things Bond
Today I'm doing my first real blog post, which will be on my James Bond collection. The reason I wanted to do this post is as I can show you what I love and have collected and hope to inspire you. I have been collecting from November 2015 and have acquired a small collection since then. my collection features lots of books, prints and pictures as they are my favourite items to collect. I am going to share pictures of each part of my collection, giving links to where I bought the items as well a description.
The first and main part of my collection is with my chest. this is where I keep a majority of my items as well as some personal bits.
This is the photo of the chest area, underneath are photos of the different sections of the chest area.
Nex On the left of this photo is the popcorn bucket I got when I went to see Spectre, which Is hard to find now, however you may be able to find on eBay. In the centre is a special edition Casino Royale print that I picked up at the Bond In Motion exhibition at the London Film Museum shop. I bought this for £5 and its one of my favourite pieces. I believe they are still available in the LFM shop in Covent Garden .
To the right of the print is the matching cup that I also got when i went to see Spectre. The same as the popcorn pot, the cup is hard to find but could be found on eBay.
On the far right is the box that my Tom Ford Snowden glasses came in. I bought mine off amazon for around £135, which was amazing as they retail for £235. I got mine in size 50 and the colour is 52n tortoise shell with the grey lenses.
The code for these is - FT0237 52N 50
I will be doing a review on these glasses soon.
This next picture shows my cork board area. On the top left I have a mini version of the Bond by Design book which came with the popcorn pot and cup from the cinema when went to see spectre (I've pinned everything up with push pins that have little handle things.) On top of that I have a spectre key-ring bought for me from amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0144R753E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Next to and underneath that I have postcards I bought from Bond In Motion at the LFM. I think you can buy these from eBay or Amazon, mine are the Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall ones.
Next to that is my copy of the signed by Daniel Craig, Spectre poster with plaque from Amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B015H4USLO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Above that is a tag from my Casino Royale top that I got at Bond In Motion, there were many retro printed t-shirts there but this one was a one off, so I cant find it anywhere else. Later in my collection post there will be a photo of it where I will give more detail.
To the left of this is my tickets from when I went to see Spectre. Underneath those is my receipt from Bond In Motion, I kept the receipt for this as the total came to £100.07 which has 007 at the end which I thought was rather cool.
These are two of the few books I own. the one closest to the radio is the Spectre - Blood, Sweat and Bond - Behind the scenes of Spectre book. which i bought from Waterstones which was £25. www.waterstones.com/book/blood-sweat-and-bond-behind-the-scenes-of-spectre-curated-by-rankin/dk/9780241207147
Behind that is one book however it came in a nice cover, so I displayed that as well. The book is Bond by Design which I got for Christmas but can be bought at Amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/Bond-Design-Art-James-Films/dp/0241185998/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469900423&sr=8-1&keywords=bond+by+design
On top of this is the box from my Aston Martin DB10 keychain that I bought from Bond In Motion that i will show later on.
Both these prints are designs from old Bond films that came with the Bond By Design book.
Both these dvd's I bought quite recently on the Sky buy and keep system. you get the film on all your connected devices and a copy of the fil through your door. However you can easily buy these on amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/GoldenEye-DVD-Pierce-Brosnan/dp/B008OEYBMC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469983159&sr=8-1&keywords=goldeneye
.This is my James Bond inspired drinks tray. The decanter I had at home, but you can buy ones like these in House of Fraser and places like that. The glass I also had at home but like the decanter it can be replicated easily. The tray is rose gold and from h&m, they don't sell it any more unless its in the sale but you can find others like this from House of Fraser. The necklace in the glass is my grandma's and the key-ring is the Aston Martin DB10 key-ring from the Bond in motion exhibition. www.shop.007.com/aston-martin-db10-keyring-online-exclusive
These are some of my bond films that I own. The glass bowl they sit in is another thing I had at home which I know is quite annoying as I can't tell you exactly where it comes from.
The dvd's are: Die Another Day Special Addition 10 hour dvd.
Casino Royale 2 disc special addition
The dvd's are:
The Daniel Craig Collection
Spectre Blu-ray disc
These two books sit on my chair as it gives them pride of place. The bond archives book I got from Amazon. The big version is about £150 but this smaller version (which is still really big) is around £30.
The Casino Royale Bond on Set book is also from Amazon and is quite hard to find. I got mine for about £24 (it's second-hand) but they can get rather expensive. I cant find the book I got on Amazon but if you search on various James bond sites you may be able to find it.
The prints above I put together myself, I just find the pictures I like and print and frame them. The frames are from Homebase, however they only sell the frames in store so I cant link them below. To get a professional look to the prints I just print them on Matte inkjet paper.
The final item in my collection is the Casino Royale top I talked about earlier this is hard to find but you may be able to find it at the Bond In Motion exhibition.
That's all my collection and when I add to it I will be sure to update you.
Thanks for reading!!
